Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. As a micro provider, you may be the only professional regularly visiting someone in their home, so you could be the first person to notice changes or recognise that something is wrong. This session will help you identify possible abuse, neglect, self-neglect or exploitation and respond with confidence.

Safeguarding awareness is an important part of safe, professional practice and our Doing It Right Quality Standard. Up-to-date safeguarding training is also required as part of the Local Help My Way verification process. The course connects safeguarding responsibilities with real situations that micro providers may encounter in people’s homes and communities.
