Understanding insurance is an important part of building a safe, professional and legally compliant micro business. This practical session, delivered with Think Insurance, will explain the different types of business insurance available, helping you understand which cover you may need—and avoid paying for cover that is not relevant to your work.

The session covers public liability, employers’ liability, professional indemnity, business-use vehicle insurance, equipment and cyber cover. It will also explain when a specialist carers’ insurance policy may be relevant, particularly if you provide personal care, medication support or other hands-on care services. You will learn about appropriate levels of cover, policy exclusions, renewals, record-keeping and what insurers need to know about your work.
