Professional boundaries are essential to safe, ethical and confident practice.
As a micro provider, you often work independently and develop close working relationships with the people you support. While this is a strength of micro provision, it can also blur lines if boundaries are not clearly understood and maintained.
This practical 2-hour session is designed specifically for Micro Providers based in or delivering support in Staffordshire. It will strengthen your understanding of professionalism, help you maintain appropriate boundaries, and build confidence in handling challenging situations. You will explore what professionalism looks like in practice, why keeping data safe matters, how communication styles affect working relationships, and how to recognise early signs that boundaries may be slipping.
The session also provides practical strategies for managing difficult conversations calmly and professionally — whether responding to concerns, addressing inappropriate behaviour, or setting clear expectations. You will leave with greater clarity, confidence and tools you can apply immediately in your service.
